Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-05-01
These terms govern your use of lockthefuckin.app. Using the site means you accept them. If you don't accept them, don't use the site.
1. The service
This site is the marketing and waitlist surface for the Lock the F*ck In iOS application. The application itself is distributed through Apple's App Store and is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula, together with any in-app terms presented at first launch.
2. Waitlist
Joining the waitlist is non-binding. It is not a contract to buy the app, and it does not commit us to deliver the app on any specific date or at any specific price. Promotional offers shown on the site, including any discount associated with the waitlist, are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or modified before launch. We will give 14 days notice on the homepage before withdrawing a publicly announced offer.
3. Pricing and purchases
The application, when released, will be available as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store. There is no subscription. The price displayed in the App Store at the time of purchase is the price that applies. Apple processes payment, receipts, refunds, and tax. Apple's standard refund policy applies. For payment issues, the App Store is the first point of contact via reportaproblem.apple.com. For non-payment issues, write to [email protected] and we will look into it.
4. What you get
A purchase unlocks the version of the application live on the App Store at the time of your purchase, and ongoing updates to that version's existing features. New, materially distinct features or modules introduced after your purchase may, at our discretion, be released as separate purchases. We will not paywall an existing feature you have already paid for.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: scrape, mirror, or republish substantial portions of the site; reverse engineer the application beyond what applicable law expressly permits; use the service to harass, defraud, or violate the rights of others; or attempt to interfere with the operation of the site or the application.
6. Intellectual property
The Lock the F*ck In name, the asterisk mark, the visual system of this site, and the application code are owned by us. You may share screenshots and links for personal, editorial, or fair-use purposes. You may not use our marks to imply endorsement or affiliation without written permission.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided as-is and as-available. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. The application is a productivity aid. It is not a medical device, not a substitute for professional advice, and not a treatment for any condition.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to these terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the application in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits. In that case the limits apply to the maximum extent permitted.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator is established, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence. Where those local rights give you the option to bring a claim in your own country, that option is preserved. We try to resolve disputes informally first. Write to [email protected].
10. Changes
We may update these terms when our service or the law changes. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision. Material changes are announced on the homepage at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that period is acceptance of the new terms.
11. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force.
